The Philosophy Hub is a student led group of thought-driven individuals whose aim is to
encourage philosophical thought in the SMOC high school community. The idea of creating this hub fortunately came to fruition this year as we have formed our members and set our plans with the valuable guidance of our philosophy teacher Mr. Abdallah Ghattas.
Our objective is to provide students a platform and safe space to express their thoughts, ideas, and perceptions. Which is why we’ve created “The Philosophical Memoir”, an online journal comprised of thought papers, research papers, or any creative piece of writing that students desire to publish. To better execute our vision, the thirteen of us members have divided ourselves into two teams; one dedicated to the journal, and the other to activities and events that evoke the community’s philosophical and critical thinking.
